SUMMARY:Sangha Circle–Talking to Clients: SOAP vs HOPE
DESCRIPTION:Join Dr. John Murphy IV, DO and Satya Lynn for an interactive conversation –examining how we talk with clients and document notes during therapy sessions for this May’s IYTh Sangha Circle.\n\nHOPE is a type of conversation that differs from the medical SOAP framework.  Simple, systematic approaches during a client session can help tap into their inherent healing capacity. The HOPE note is a different way to have a dialogue between client and therapist. It stands for Healing Oriented Practices and Environments. The simple questions/tools used with HOPE can quickly move toward more client-centered, integrative healthcare and enhance healing for anyone with chronic pain or other causes of suffering and dis-ease. HOPE focuses specifically on the underlying determinants of health and allows a therapist to weave a whole-person, kosha-based approach to care planning.\n\nCome with questions and case study examples to apply / discuss!\n\n\n\n         \n \n
