Sarala Sue Evans, MBA/MHA, C-IAYT, RYT500 discovered Yoga during a stressful
time while working in academic healthcare management in 2000. She found the practice
to be healing. Now a Certified Yoga Therapist and a 500 hr Certified Integral Yoga
teacher she enjoys sharing what she loves with others. As a YCat graduate (300hrs
Yoga Therapy for Cancer & Chronic Illness) Sarala teaches a weekly chair yoga class
through Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center – Comprehensive Cancer
Center. Through the medical center, she has been involved with several federally
funded yoga research projects involving those living with cancer and MS. She enjoys
and is honored to witness the healing experience.
She currently teaches Hatha yoga through the advanced level and Raja yoga at the
college level and Yoga for Stress Management to High School teachers and in a variety
corporate organizations.
Sarala enjoys teaching restorative yoga and partners with local musicians to bring a
sound healing experience to students. She has taught both in the studio and privately,
as well as corporate settings and leads group retreats. She is the mother to two young
men and loves to be on the back of a horse or with her pups when not on a Yoga mat.
