Homework assignment to client/group

She states that she tried the breathing in and out with counting she is at a 3 to 6 ratio and it helps her to be in an almost meditation state. and it helps her to feel calmer. Also at night in bed she does the deep breathing with the hand on her abdomen.
She does cat cows in the chair about twice a day for 1 minute. She also works on mobilizing her fingers and arm raises.

Activities

Checking in about the clients wellbeing .She states that her sleep is good, her energy level is fair, her concentration is fair. Her mood is a bit depressed. She is not sure ,if she is able to return to work. Her work would be able to accommodate her, but she also has to be able to get to work. This requires driving and she is not sure if she is able to do this, because she would be able to get to of the house and into the car by herself. She states that it makes her sad to possibly having to let go of work and redefine her life.

Centering with body scan and deep breathing with counting for a 1 to 2 ratio.
We then proceeded to start tapping her body to wake the different body parts up and the client enjoyed this a lot, she states that she enjoys the sensation of the tapping.
Shoulder rolls, at the same time and with opposite shoulders like a swimming crawl motion.
She is able to use her right hand to guide her left hand and arm.
Started out with mobilizing her fingers individually and then interlacing her fingers. Raising her arms with inhale and lowering the arms with exhale.
Bringing both arms out to her middle of the body and then twist to the left and right with the head looking over the opposite shoulder.
circling both wrists together
cat cow in the chair
circles in the chair
forward bend in the chair
back ward bend
1 sets of leg raises 10 times each
1 set of kicking leg forward 10 times each
tense and release followed by a brief guided meditation

Client/Group progress summary

I feel my client is starting to make progress , she is slowly opening herself up to talking a bit more and reflecting on her current situation. She is able to express what makes her sad and what makes her hopeful. She is willing to try out different breathing techniques for herself , creating a daily routine for herself.
She is also making good connection with her friends and accepting their help.

Reflection and self-evaluation

I am able to listen patiently and give my client space for reflexion.I do compliment her on her dedication with her daily effort, when it comes to physical therapy, occupational therapy, talk therapy and yoga therapy. She is making use of her resources and works diligently with them.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

I am planning to continue to work with my client. Today concludes my case study.I am planning to provide her with similar asanas and continue to work on her emotional development.
