Client/Group progress summary

Client enjoyed the Asanas - and spoke up when something didn't feel right. She especially enjoyed the Modified Reclining Dandasana for spinal elongation.
We had discussed Mula Bandha at our first session. She felt she understood the practice - hadn't yet read the IY articles I sent her - clearly wasn't interested in pursuing it.
We discussed anxiety briefly - she didn't want to go into specifics.
She enjoyed 3-Part Breath. We discussed Pranayama and breathing techniques at length, including extending the exhales.

Reflection and self-evaluation

All in all, I think this was a good experience for client and me. Found myself being nervous at times. By the end of our session I was relaxed and feeling more confident. I appreciated her candor and positive feedback.
As always, I remind myself to listen, listen, listen. That is, listen to what the client is saying and the meta-message too.
Love the process of asking questions and exploring whatever is at hand with client.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Review / refine Asana sequence. Possibly introduce 1 or 2 more asanas.
Pranayama - check-in re 3-Part Breath and explore 1 more breathing practice.
