Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.

Adjustments and adaptations you made to your care plan,

We weren’t able to do many physical practices together due to tech issues, injuries, etc. most sessions. So we spent more time talking about what was working and the progress she’d made between sessions.

Client/Group Goals

develop a consistent practice, sleep better
Client shared improvement towards consistency. And she’s journaling what she’s trying and the effect on her sleep. She also got a new bed that reports HRV and other helpful things

Report briefly on each Kosha belowProgress toward wellness or worsening reported by the client/group or that you observed in the following areas
Physical level

made progress toward consistent yoga practice

Energetic level

Emotional

not willing to open up about what’s going on, says “there’s just a lot going on”

Intellectual / Sense of self

meditating with metta practice; began journaling daily by koshas

Spiritual orientation and support plan

taking steps to re-establish community

Additional Information
Feedback received from client/group, anecdotal or written

“I've been continuing to use the Breath Ball app, usually in the evening and I've increased from 2 to 4 minutes. My notes are reflecting that I've been sleeping well. My HRV ranges from 48 to 62. Oddly when I slept very well last night my HRV was the lowest 48. M6 HR ranged from 58 to 64; BR is consistently 14 or 15.

I'm still participating in group yoga sessions about 2 times a week. I've tried to practice at least 1 yoga pose a day and managed 12 days of last 14, so getting a little more consistent.

I finished reading the Yamas & Niyamas book. I selected to focus on Niyama Santosha (contentment). This is week 1 so I'm noticing and journaling about when I find myself getting ready for the next thing or looking for contentment from something outside myself.

My daily notes now track the Koshas- activity, breathing, thoughts/emotions/mantra, and intellectual/spiritual. The note taking has helped me try to incorporate each somewhere throughout each day. Consistency!"

Sample of homework given between sessions (after initial homework)

One pose a day minimum.
Breathing practice at different times of day - notice any effects in the moment or on sleep.
Metta/loving kindness meditation.
Take walks in your new neighborhood - maybe meet some new neighbors.
Reading: Gita for Children, Bagger Vance, Yamas & Niyamas

Personal reflection from doing client/group.
Rough estimate of time spent in preparation and follow up documentation per session30 minutes per session
What you would change with benefit of hindsight

Maybe not take a client that was only on zoom. Maybe let the client know upfront that we were planning 4 sessions and then re-evaluate. Maybe have minimum tech requirements and a test session to see if it would even work under their circumstances. Have fewer expectations.

Questions, problems, areas in which you’d like more support

4 sessions wasn’t enough time, especially with all of the challenges.
I didn’t click well with this client in this role. I had known her from classes at the studio, and we took 200YTT from the same person. Maybe I had a different attitude since she was ryt200…?
