An Ayurvedic Perspective on Assessment

An Ayurvedic Perspective on Assessment for the Yoga Therapist

We are excited to welcome Bernadette Milan to facilitate this informative session for students in the IYTh Program on Monday, July 18th from 6:30-8:30 pm EST.

This presentation was born after conversations Bernadette had with peers regarding concepts learned about Ayurveda and suggestions for care that go beyond the scope of a Yoga therapist.

In this interactive presentation, Bernadette will share Ayurvedic considerations and personalized techniques for a Yoga therapist to use in the assessment process to refine the care plan while staying within the scope of practice for a Yoga therapist.  She will offer perspectives to apply during the assessment, review the doshas, and lead a short practice for each dosha.  There will also be time to practice concepts learned with peers in breakout rooms and time for follow up Q&A after the experience.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Bernadette discovered Ayurveda late in her life’s journey. The moment she learned about it, she knew she needed to know more! She is currently in the home stretch of a 1,725 hour program to receive her Ayurvedic Practitioner certification. Although she is nearing that milestone, she will never stop being a student of Ayurveda. She is thankful for this knowledge and strives to guide others in their own healing journeys using the wisdom of Ayurveda and the practices of Yoga. She is grateful to have this platform to share a drop of the teachings from the ocean that is Ayurveda with her peers in Yoga Therapy.
