| Criteria Score Sheet | |
| Scope - Key concepts and goals identified; appropriately applied to client/group | 4 Proficient Clearly presented and purposeful response; details could be enriched and more compelling |
| Feedback on Scope | Good plan with clear goals, based on info provided by client - and based on her reaction and addition of other activities, maybe it was too much or not enough or not what she had in mind….. |
| Comprehension of Core Concepts - Demonstrates a clear understanding of concepts from modules with the integration of critical thinking skills in goal and implementation. | 4 Proficient The response identified relationships between concepts, there is some breadth of information, and minor adjustments may be needed |
| Feedback on Comprehension of Core Concepts | Plan well executed and thorough as well as appropriate for the client - whether client realized it or not - might be a harder discussion with client over “real issue” |
| Analysis of Key Issues - Shows consideration of specific client/group, IY, and Yoga Therapy. | 5 Exceptional The analysis is well reasoned, logical sequence and rational; Thoughtful and convincing response clearly demonstrates depth of topic knowledge |
| Analysis of Key Issues Feedback | Your depth of knowledge of client’s issues makes you uniquely qualified to work with this client, whether a yoga therapist or not. Great plan of care for her and well executed. In hindsight maybe a little quicker to make changes based on her adding other activities could have been beneficial, even if just a conversation and maybe addition of some of the raja topics you raised in reflection. |
| Application--IYTh teachings and client goals are clearly and appropriately addressed in plan and follow up. | 5 Exceptional The response shows evidence of the ability to apply skills; the response is complete and shows proficiency in the skill. |
| Application of Key Teaching Feedback | Really well done for this client with these particular issues |
| Relevance and Accuracy - Justifies methods and application. | 5 Exceptional Points / assertions are supported by relevant research and references. |
| Relevance and Accuracy Feedback | Terrific use of resources to support your plan-extremely thorough |
| Integration and Originality - Exhibits critical thinking and individualized approach to client/group. Shows a difference between Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist approach. | 5 Exceptional Demonstrates critical thinking about the topic and own interpretations. The reasoning is not merely presented but interpreted and applied to core concept. |
| Integration and Originality Feedback | So very specific for this client - no way you could have done this in a class, there would be no way to address these specific individual issues. |
| Observations, Recommendations, Alternative Solutions - Reveals significant reflection and understanding of population and Yoga therapy. Displays ability to adapt, adjust, accommodate. | 5 Exceptional Well-reasoned, logical, relevant observations and recommendations on effective solutions to most of the problems/issues. Alternatives are discussed and cover all areas of evaluation. |
| Observations, Recommendations, Alternative Solutions Feedback | Your observations and reflections seem much deeper with this client and a sense of insecurity or lack of confidence seems to be here as well. There will be clients who think they know more than you do (whether they do or not) and it can be difficult to navigate when you are in the position of authority. Maybe allowing this client to assist with the plan could have gotten some more buy in from her - in some way, not sure exactly. You could have added some other elements of raja yoga - non attachment to the outcome, not the body not the mind…and maybe some self study for the client - about why she felt the need to add so much at one time…..or to discuss adherence to the plan etc. Just something to think about for future clients. We can discuss further in our meeting. |
