Feedback on Scope

Really well done having never worked with a group like this particular population, what a wonderful experience and enjoyed your insights about yourself too. Good plan for the group, taking into account the individual issues for each and finding a way over your time together to improvise during each session to further accommodate and change your own language, or style of teaching….patterns/habit can be powerful and difficult to change and really well done to recognize so quickly and be able to adapt on the fly! Great to include music and fun especially here!

Comprehension of Core Concepts - Demonstrates a clear understanding of concepts from modules with the integration of critical thinking skills in goal and implementation.
5
Exceptional
The response is complex, accurate, comprehensive, & showing breadth and depth of information; relationships are described and conclusions drawn.
Feedback on Comprehension of Core Concepts

The information gathered about each student was very different than what you might be used to and seemed to influence how you worked with this group in a very positive way - learning by observing and from their feedback. Your plan was solid and it was interesting to see how a small detail became seemingly more important - the placement of the blocks for example. Or the color of the blocks or the song. Your choices seem spot on for movement, seated vs standing and the response to the student who “fainted” seemed to be exactly what was needed and appropriate-maybe the staff member could have been quicker to react? Seems like you were able to keep the group calm and to continue to improve the ability to stay inclusive to all - but with a group it’s ok if they all are not doing the same thing at the same time - but that takes on a whole different meaning with this group which makes that a different way to teach completely and it seems as if you were able to keep changing as you went along and made small improvements each session!

Analysis of Key Issues - Shows consideration of specific client/group, IY, and Yoga Therapy.
5
Exceptional
The analysis is well reasoned, logical sequence and rational; Thoughtful and convincing response clearly demonstrates depth of topic knowledge
Analysis of Key Issues Feedback

The speed with which you seem able to adapt to the needs of different individuals is remarkable. And shows a distinct difference between a group class and yoga therapy for a group of individuals with like issues/diagnosis. You show good reason for why you did everything you did - as you should! Really well done.

Application--IYTh teachings and client goals are clearly and appropriately addressed in plan and follow up.
5
Exceptional
The response shows evidence of the ability to apply skills; the response is complete and shows proficiency in the skill.
Application of Key Teaching Feedback

Integration and Originality Feedback

Nice to see your thought process through your observations and your genuine concern and care for your students and their health and safety in your class (and outside your class) Your approach is full of not just what you think would be beneficial for them individually and as a group but also empathy and understanding that has grown each week allowing you to change how you teach, the language you use and to adapt and modify how you execute your well thought out plan.

Observations, Recommendations, Alternative Solutions - Reveals significant reflection and understanding of population and Yoga therapy. Displays ability to adapt, adjust, accommodate.
5
Exceptional

Well-reasoned, logical, relevant observations and recommendations on effective solutions to most of the problems/issues. Alternatives are discussed and cover all areas of evaluation.
Observations, Recommendations, Alternative Solutions Feedback

So many examples of how to adapt, adjust, accommodate during the weeks spent teaching this group, wonderful to witness! Well done. I think it is normal to care about your students and a normal reaction to be worried and sad, showing just how important this is to you. It is also important to have healthy boundaries, but you can always care about your students. Thanks for sharing your reflections, they continue have gotten deeper with each client, allowing you to find exactly what you need for each client/group and to take what you learn from one to the next and change it to be what that person/group needs.
