Homework assignment to client/group

These asanas below are assigned to Reina because she did not have any asanas on the floor in her routine, also those would help to improve her IBS conditions.

Chile Pose,
Knee-to-chest,
Reclined Butterly,
Supine Spinal Twist,
Squat
Legs up the wall

Activities

Today's session began with two minutes of three-part breathing to settle down after sound issues on her side. I then asked Reina how she was feeling and whether she had noticed any physical or mental changes or challenges since our intake session. She continues to maintain her daily routine, as evidenced by her recent return from aquarobics.

Next, I asked her about her Hatha practice. She stated that she had added the seated poses I demonstrated in a previous session—child pose, knee-to-chest, reclined butterfly, and supine spinal twist. She forgot one pose, the squat. She joined me to practice all 5 poses.

After the asana practice, I asked if she was able to create an altar for her daily spiritual practice as we discussed. She said that she created the altar and placed a photo of her mother and a teddy bear which she made with her mother. She touches the photo while she prays and meditates.

I led 15 minutes of body scan as final relaxation, she recorded this to use for her relaxation practice when she needed it.
To conclude the session, I guided her through alternate nostril breathing.

Client/Group progress summary

Seated asanas added to Reina’s daily routine are working, she stated her colon calmed and improved bowel movement.

Reflection and self-evaluation

A minute after this session began, she experienced a sound issue on Zoom. She was able to hear my voice, but I could not hear her voice. To continue the session, she decided to dial in.
Once we re-connected, I led 3-parts breathing and explained how breathing could use re-center and calm down after experiencing and dealing with a system issue that made her stressed. This was a good example of experiencing the benefits of breathing practice. I observed that she could try a few things to fix her problem without panicking and followed my advice to continue the session.
She sits at the altar every day to pray for her mother and touches the teddy bear she created with her mother, which provides her with a brief moment to remember the great times they shared.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

I will continue to follow this care plan for the next several sessions. I will\ add a new routine for her sleep, it will be a simple breathing practice at bedtime.
