| Homework assignment to client/group | Bryan - was excited to practice, noticeably less rajasic than when I saw him Thursday. Bryant - check in with good energy, has enjoyed beginning a practice during his stay. Stated shoulders tight from earlier push ups. Skylar - checked in with good energy, felt some fatigue in arms and abs from previous workout/exercises. Henry - quiet, left halfway through class. At the end of practice, all participants reported being calm and relaxed, but not tired/sleepy. |
| Activities | Began with standing chair supported work: centering breaths, shaking out. Explored mountain, down dog, high lunge - with reach up/thoracic extension and then rotation, Supported malasana to explore comfortable depth in hips. Check in - participants feeling good, but warm in the room - moved to seated practice. Finger compressions. Explored seated pigeon with lateral lean, twist, joint freeing movements for ankles, toes. Seated hamstring stretch, followed by fold. Heart breathing Shavasana |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | Participants today were energetic and expressed a desire to move, so started with more standing but supported work. Talked about how we can work with our breathing to also bring calm to the mind when introducing finger compressions. I felt I adapted the feel of the practice today to meet the participants where they were. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
