| Session Instructions (Not Mentoring) | Your session outline should be a practice adapted to the needs of that client, including:
Tools from each module should be used (not on each client – but overall) |
| Session Date | 07/10/2024 |
| Session Number | 7 |
| Total Session Minutes | 60 |
| Homework assignment to client/group | Extended exhale practice. Gentle stretching throughout the work day. |
| Activities | Same as Session 6, except led client through Soothing Inner Tide Pool guided meditation. Explored quad stretch in several variations. Most accessible version is standing, holding ankle on same side. Closed with metta meditation. I asked client if they have a goddess or goddesses they are drawn to. Answer: yes. Seckhmet and Bastet/Bast, Egyptian. |
| Client/Group progress summary | The client was willing to explore shoulder ROM in all movements of the shoulder joint. Abduction with bent elbows causes “clicking” in the right shoulder joint. As noted previously, raising arms above shoulders is painful. Learned. The client dislocated left knee when they were 13 years old. Persistent weakness and stiffness in that knee. Left hip and leg tighter than right. Client self-reported that their body felt more easeful at the end of the session and they were refreshed. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | Introduced Durgha yantra. Discussed working with goddess energy. Client was excited at the prospect. I was surprised to learn client connects with Egyptian goddesses Seckhmet and Bastet (Bast.) More to learn. I know nothing about Egyptian dieties. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | Assess client’s pain at beginning and end of session using the Wong Baker pain scale. |
| Report briefly on each Kosha below | Progress toward wellness or worsening reported by the client/group or that you observed in the following areas |
| Additional Information | |
| Personal reflection from doing client/group. | |
