Do the exercises we practice daily or multiple times a day and not the bridge on his own.

Activities

Questions? He is doing well. Feeling like he is progressing with movement. Moving left leg on his own. He had a good week. Discussed the Koshas more in depth as to where he feels in each realm. Annamaya -discussed nourishing his body with food and movement. Pranamaya -physiological and energy as well as sleep. He sleeps better with using some of the breath practice. Discussed the heart condition and it's role in his edema. Importance of movement and breath to keep his body healthy. The Manomaya can be exercised by continuing to learn. We discussed the emotional level and his feeling his thoughts can turn to relations with his sons' mom and his son.
We discussed his wisdom he has accrued as being a part of Vijnanamaya. Also his personality as a forged part of his being. As well as the Anandamaya which he has felt connected to in the past, not so much currently in his situation. He understands the yoga is about getting the energy moving, understanding himself through this challenge and increasing his overall knowledge of his "self".

Connect to breath, deepen and lengthen inhale and exhale -pause between. Feel into the body as you breath, do you notice anything? sensations? right vs left, top vs bottom

Movement r foot L arm -progress movement into lifting leg slightly and lifting arm
Inhale Lift R arm L foot/leg Exhal slow release then opp side
HW do one of above multiple times before going side to side

Cervical movements
Sit up lift from shoulders and elongate neck- (no tucking chin)

Bridge
First engage Back muscles on inhale by bringing shoulder blades together and down
Then lift into bridge ( **you probably want someone holding lower legs and feet -hip width apart.) Inhale lift pause then slowly lower. Keep working on counting to 3-4 on each inhale and exhale to slow and control the movement.
Light twist
Bend knees drop both to L on exhale and inhale back to center then R side.
** Clam shell drop knees out on inhale bring together on exhale

Relaxation
slow body scan.

Client/Group progress summary

He is progressing. Body esp legs seem to improve weekly. The arm is not so much-the PT is working with him on that as well as standing and other strength exercises.

Reflection and self-evaluation

The time we spend together goes easily. He is super engaged and positive .

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Continue with new breath techniques NS
Connect wisdom teaching to the Higher universal power. I think this will continue to ground him in knowing that this is a journey and steps can be made on all levels of the Koshas.
