Questions?
Feeling better overall. Getting more stir crazy. L leg has increasing movement weekly. He did his HW esp. cervical and alt side of body movements. He practices his breathing working on smooth longer exhale and inhale. He tried NS psychic few times and feels relaxed whenever he practices his breathing.
Teachings: Yoga energetics deeper into pranayama
Ida and Pingala
Ida main channel L side -cooling lunar channel represents materiality Prakriti-always changing
Pingala R side -solar channel, steady unchanging represents consciousness Purusa unchanging
Susumna balance
Defects lunar -insecurity, instability, depression, grief, and disillusionment
Defects in Solar -anger, arrogance, impatience and fanaticism
Stim lunar L side cools brings lunar energy more calming
Stim solar R side heating brings solar energy -more vibrancy
Connect to breath, deepen and lengthen inhale and exhale -pause between. Allowing the armor to sink away as the relaxation grows. Psychic NS He actually used his right hand and we practiced a few rounds of NS
Pause on spaces between IN retention and EX suspension
Exhale hum (to help feel and hear the breath) with HW use this as you are doing deep long breathing to help smooth the breath.

Movement r foot L arm -progress movement into lifting leg slightly and lifting arm
Inhale Lift R arm L foot/leg Exhal slow release then opp side
He still has issues slowing and cross body
HW do one of above multiple times before going side to side

Cervical movements not practiced today
Bridge
-Begin to use the hum on exhale to slow the movement down (use on last 2 that you do of these 3 exercises)
First engage Back muscles on inhale by bringing shoulder blades together and down
1. Then lift into bridge He is able to set his feet now and do this on his own-kinda I have to move the feet hip width apart. Will see what happens next week. Inhale lift pause then slowly lower. Keep working on counting to 3-4 on each inhale and exhale to slow and control the movement. Hum on exhale to see how that feels slowing the drop. He did this and it seemed to help him control speed of drop.
2. Light twist
Bend knees drop both to L on exhale and inhale back to center then R side.
3. Clamshell drop knees out on inhale bring together on exhale
These feel good to him and he does it with some ease
Body scan did opp sides of body switching every major joint to reflect on L side to R side
Sensory Scan awareness of 5 senses at end of scan

Client/Group progress summary

Client is able to work some of the finer points of the movement. It is easier to slow and concentrate-but I also notice some days are better than others in terms of concentration.

Reflection and self-evaluation

I feel he is doing better and is always gracious with his comments on how much our sessions mean to him. He continues to have better concentration days and so not so much. Perhaps his self medication -THC maybe playing a role here but I do not actually know and we all have good and bad days .

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Teach the Ujjayi as he has been doing some humming on exhale.
Continue to build strength and repetition.
Review cervical-have missed these last few sessions and work on leg lift off bed vs just flexing ankle in opposite body exercises

Report briefly on each Kosha belowProgress toward wellness or worsening reported by the client/group or that you observed in the following areas
