| Client/Group progress summary | Heather - energy “in the middle” at check in. Somewhat rajasic in her thoughts but tamasic in body. Very engaged in the practice. Austin - rajasic mental and physical energy. Shared he was frustrated and ready to go home. Missed middle of practice for conference with providers, came back for Shavasana and pranayama- could not settle in Shavasana. At end stated he was tired and didn’t sleep well. Jessica - came for back half, good energy. Engaged with the practice. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | Shared with the group the idea of the gunas without calling them the gunas - I asked them to consider their mental energy, and if it was high and active, or low and slow/sluggish. Talked about how they can work with it as we moved by working with their breath as well as exploring where they turned their gaze. It's the first time I tried introducing the gunas this way, realizing it is a very incomplete understanding, but trying to challenge myself to share the principles of yoga in everyday language. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
