Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.

Adjustments and adaptations you made to your care plan,

These men as a group come in very rajasic and need a huge energy expenditure upfront to then focus for balance, breathing practices, stillness. It is a constant reassessment and adaptation to their energy.

Client/Group Goals

Client/Group Goals: Relieve stress, stretching, calm mind and self, peace, improve movement
Any progress towards goals
Review and revision of goals.
The progress happens with regular practice. I observe the men coming in smiling more, calmer, eager to practice. They report improvement toward the above goals.

Additional Information
Feedback received from client/group, anecdotal or written

Feedback collected every week is very positive toward the experience of being able to get out of the cell and unwind physically, mentally, and emotionally. They are very positive toward me and the class structure and outline. They often request class be offered more often, which is something I can’t do right now.

Sample of homework given between sessions (after initial homework)

Practicing what we do in class - stretches for stiffness after sleep, stretches and breathing practices to promote sleep and manage pain, breathing practices to manage stress and stressful situations.

Personal reflection from doing client/group.
Rough estimate of time spent in preparation and follow up documentation per session30
What you would change with benefit of hindsight

Bringing in more references, books, or readings

Questions, problems, areas in which you’d like more support

Mostly what I need for the CCDC groups is time with other facilitators who can relate. That is sometimes offered by PYP with varying participation. I need to make more friends in certain areas 🙂
I’d love to know where to look for funding to be able to go in more than once a week, and/or to have someone else take the women’s class so I could meet with the men’s group more often.

Did you enjoy your service?

Yes, this group is my favorite service.
