Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.

Adjustments and adaptations you made to your care plan,

We’ve been able to advance some of the practices to a more challenging variation or choice, make the asana practice a bit more vigorous, and lengthen the time spent in in breathing practices.

Client/Group Goals

Client/Group Goals: learn something new, peace/relaxation, quiet the mind, improve physical balance
Any progress towards goals
Review and revision of goals.
This group became more interested in their physical and emotional fitness at some point, which allowed for more focused asana practice and more pranayama practice.

Additional Information
Feedback received from client/group, anecdotal or written

Feedback is collected every week and is often very positive and appreciative. Their responses to the most beneficial parts of class are usually physical postures that felt good.

Sample of homework given between sessions (after initial homework)

This class likes to read, so I suggested they get the PYP yoga book from the jail branch of the public library. I’ve heard from at least one that has received it.
I also bring a copy to class for when/if they have questions as they go through it.

Personal reflection from doing client/group.
Rough estimate of time spent in preparation and follow up documentation per session30 minutes
What you would change with benefit of hindsight

If I had unlimited resources… I would likely have someone else to facilitate this class. I would also get them all some clothing more suitable to moving freely.

Questions, problems, areas in which you’d like more support

I’m not sure what I need with this class - probably therapy for myself and my issues. I’ve always struggled with the women’s jail classes. I share about it a lot, and it’s gotten better.

Did you enjoy your service?

I do, but it really challenges me.
