Homework assignment to client/group

Continuing as in the past since she is doing better with consistency.
Emailed a PP slide about the 5 koshas for her continued reflection.

Activities

Discussion about her husband being grumpy and mean this week. Also, tension with coworkers over preparing for the new school year.
Reviewed technique for EFT tapping. (This is not something I had taught the client previously, but she mentioned it.)
Discussed Raja Yoga handout, sutras 1.1-1.4.
Reviewed the 5 koshas.
Asana: standing and supine since her energy levels were good.
Pranayama: brahmari and alternate nostril
Meditation: "peace is in me"

Client/Group progress summary

Client stated she did a good job of using breathwork to maintain her peace/calm while dealing with her husband and her coworkers. She also walked and completed her asana routine several times. Client seemed more stable this week. She responded well to discussion about being sensitive and always trying to "fix" people's problems. She sees the need to create space for herself, to set and maintain boundaries.

Reflection and self-evaluation

I felt very present to the client and her needs. We had a nice combination of discussion and practice. Client stated: "This is life-changing information."

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Continue discussion of Raja Yoga and koshas - and how this applies directly to her life.
Asana, pranayama, and meditation as needed.
