Tools from each module should be used (not on each client – but overall) |
| Session Date | 07/24/2024 |
| Session Number | 8 |
| Total Session Minutes | 60 |
| Homework assignment to client/group | Practice extended exhale before meditation. Incorporate the Sekhmet mantra/chant into her established meditation practice. Be prepared to provide feedback about these practices in next session. |
| Activities | Arrive, center, ground, joint freeing series, hamstring stretches, seated pigeon, awareness practice, extended exhale, guided relaxation around trusting yourself and balance in life as suggested by the client. |
| Client/Group progress summary | The client is more aware of their need to center and take a break from their professional work and responsibilities of daily life when life gets overwhelming. They are more aware and takes steps to care for themself in these times. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | I am better able to shift away from my intended session plan and improvise as in-the-moment circumstances arise. Like today, the client asked for the intention of the session to be about trusting oneself and for the guided meditation/relaxation be about balancing power and strength with healing. I incorporated her requested themes and added an energy medicine wake-up sequence to energize and release stuck energy as well. The client shared that they schedule other clients around our established meeting time because our sessions are so helpful to them. Very touching. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | Similar to today. Ask for feedback about the Sekhmet information and mantra practice that I gave the client today. Possibly share the seeming comparison between Sekhmet and the goddess Kali. |
| Report briefly on each Kosha below | Progress toward wellness or worsening reported by the client/group or that you observed in the following areas |
