| Total Session Minutes | 60 |
| Homework assignment to client/group | She already meditates and chants every day, I added balancing practice, heel drop, and muscle strengthening practice into her daily routine. |
| Activities | To begin the session, I asked Stephanie how she felt and if she had noticed any changes or challenges. She reported that it’s been better than in past weeks, using 2 lbs. weight for weight-bearing exercise. We chant Hari Om together and brief breathing practice for centering. Then we moved to physical practice. I began with body-scan and led neck & shoulder stretch, joint movements, balancing practice using a chair and heel-drop exercise. To end the session, I led 15 minutes of yoga nidra and chanted 3 Oms together. |
| Client/Group progress summary | Her physical condition varies day by day due to her stiff person syndrome. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | I noticed that she looked happier than last week as she has fewer physical challenges this week. Last week, she said “I do everything, meditation, physical exercises and more, but I still have this pain”. It is natural to feel this type of thought as she struggles with a very rare chronic disease, and it is okay. But understanding and practicing Pratipaksha Bhavana will be helpful in this kind of situation. I am using Pratyahara to distance her from the pain originally, but Pratipaksha Bhavana will also help to control her mind. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | I will continue my current plan for next weeks as she enjoys JAPA, chanting, and body scan. I will talk about Pratipaksha Bhavana next week. |
