| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |

| Adjustments and adaptations you made to your care plan, | Primarily around time. Her check ins were by no means excessive, but often in care plans (not just with her), I feel like I planned on check ins being shorter than they actually are. Still navigating time management, but hopefully getting more confident and competent with it. |
| Client/Group Goals | Client has experienced several emotional "releases" - and felt a reduction of tension in the upper chest and throat. Also enjoyed the restorative postures, especially the supported twists, which she will continue practicing regularly. |
| Report briefly on each Kosha below | Progress toward wellness or worsening reported by the client/group or that you observed in the following areas |
| Physical level | Client has reported a reduction in chronic tension in the upper chest and throat. While still feels tension in the low back and knees, client also mentioned that part of her "wellness journey" has been reconnecting/getting back into her body, and feels part of this deeper connection is noticing the subtle signals of discomfort from her body in different areas. |
| Energetic level | Client has reported consistently good energy level, continuing practices she began earlier in the year with more mindful nutrition choices, and incorporating pranayama practices, specifically brahmari and waterfall breaths. |
| Emotional | Client reported feeling more sattvic following various emotional releases. Client also seems to be practicing vairagya with the releases, observing them and letting them go. Client also enjoyed the Heaven and Earth grounding practice, which is similar to a grounding practice she uses around the image of a tree, which has become a ritual for her as she begins her treatment days. |
| Intellectual / Sense of self | Client has been on a journey of reconnecting with and being more mindful of the vijnanmaya kosha. I feel like she is making progress with her consistent meditation practice and willingness to explore the tools of yoga and TRE. In her intake she indicated that she hoped finding physical releases would allow her to let go of some of the mental tension, and I believe she has seen progress with this. |
| Spiritual orientation and support plan | Client enjoys connecting with nature and being open to learning from the world around her. She has a consistent personal practice of prayer, and is open to ongoing discussion of wisdom teachings from the sutras as we continue working together. |
| Additional Information | |
| Feedback received from client/group, anecdotal or written | Client feels she is finding deeper healing from childhood trauma and narcissistic abuse. She is excited about the releases she has experienced and feels "lighter" and more free as she continues her healing journey. |
| Sample of homework given between sessions (after initial homework) | Continue: exploring the awareness practice in different situations where it allows her to connect more deeply with herself. Practice: working with the marma stick to both explore new awareness of her hands and sensations, as well as support the health of her koshas as she engages with the energy of her clients in her chiropractic practice. Continue: our discussions of the sutras and wisdom teachings of yoga as we continue our relationship as colleagues. |
| Personal reflection from doing client/group. | |
| Rough estimate of time spent in preparation and follow up documentation per session | 20 minutes |
| What you would change with benefit of hindsight | Something I haven't really thought much about yet. In working with the case study process of practicum, I've had my mind in a rhythm of "intake, assessment, three sessions, and done." One of her questions to me was, "So what do we do going forward?" I had not considered with her - or really with other case studies - if this was a regular client once I'm a C-IAYT, upon assessment what would I recommend as a number of sessions to plan for? At what point would we reassess that and think about future number of sessions, frequency of sessions, etc? |
| Questions, problems, areas in which you’d like more support | Kinesiophobia - that is not something I have really explored. I would like to look more into it as I'm sure it could present in future clients. |
| Did you enjoy your service? | Very much so. In addition to having he privilege to share in her journey, as we have a professional relationship, she now feels she has a better understanding of the work I do so that she can refer clients to me. |
