| Client/Group progress summary | Client was feeling very fatigued today. Shared about caring for her mother and her niece and nephew for a week which really added to her stress and lack of time for herself. Discussed her resentment toward her husband and her friends who have large chunks of time for their own daily workouts. This brought a deep discussion of her husband's selfishness. He is one of those men who believes his "bringing home the bacon" is his complete contribution to the family. She almost half admitted she would leave him if not for her Christian beliefs about marriage/family. This really surprised me that she was able to say it even indirectly. This is progress! Not that I think she will/should leave him, but that she can even state how deep the problem is. She intends to explain to him the details of how busy her days are since he seems to think she does nothing all day. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | I helped the client continue exploring where she can set boundaries with her husband's relentless demands, as well as boundaries with friends and co-workers. I enjoyed the deep discussion with the client today. In particular, I was glad she felt safe enough to go into so much detail with me about the depth of her suffering. She is getting better at listening to her body and at least giving herself small breaks for selfcare. She wants to help her family practice more of the santosha that comes so naturally with her. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
