| Homework assignment to client/group | 1. Balancing Exercise (one leg standing, heel to toe walking, hip abduction) 2. Lower body muscles strengthen exercises 3. Eye movement: 1 or 2 times a day and as needed. 4. JAPA Meditation with Alternate Nostril Breathing, suggested combining his 10-minute daily practice with the affirmation, “I trust my body’s ability to heal and restore itself,” which became his favorite mantra. |
| Activities | I began the session with a check-in where Dan mentioned no major changes since the last session. He reported that there have been no major changes since the last session. Also, he reported he started heel-to-toe walking with his wife Annie, and early morning bike ride when the weather permits. I began the session with 3-parts breathing practice today. Then, we moved to physical practice, neck/shoulder stretch and JAPA on the floor. I noticed he was more comfortable with JAPA using a strap. Then we moved to standing practice, one leg standing, hip flexion, hip extension, half locust pose holding chair. Also, he began practicing tree pose, heel above, and ankle to start. He was able to relax both physically and mentally after 15 minutes of yoga nidra |
