| Homework assignment to client/group | She already meditates and chants every day, I added balancing practice, heel drop, and muscle strengthening practice into her daily routine. |
| Activities | To begin the session, I asked Stephanie how she was feeling and if she had noticed any changes or challenges. This was the last session before she began her 1 month-long trip to upstate NY and Oregon to visit her longtime friends. She planned this travel plan a few weeks ago, this decision shows her mental improvement, she is more positive while she is dealing with physical conditions. |
| Client/Group progress summary | Her condition due to stiff person’s syndrome is a challenge. Despite her daily practice, she suffers cramps, and spasms almost every day. However, she became able to manage those conditions by breathing practice and meditation. Stephanie shared that despite feeling tired and experiencing pain, she is making progress, including plans to travel, which she previously felt too nervous to consider. Despite her condition, this indicates an improvement in her confidence and willingness to engage in activities. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | Stephanie mentioned Celine Dion’s performance at the Paris Olympic opening ceremony, and it was clear how much it inspired her. It is so nice to see her progress, her long-term yoga practice supports her physical, mental, and emotional well-being. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | I will continue my current plan JAPA, balancing practice, chanting, and body scan. |
