Activities

This report is for the session on 7/18 and 7/26.

7/18
I began today's session by asking her how she was feeling and if she had noticed any physical or mental changes or challenges since our last meeting. She reported that her sleep was not bad, but she is still experiencing vivid dreams which impact her sleep quality. I reminded her about the evening routine to relax her body and mind before bedtime.
I guided through guided meditation and led physical practice including neck/shoulder stretch and sun salutation.
To end the session, I invited her for 15 minutes of body scan practice to start her day with a relaxed mind.

7/26
I began today's session by asking her how she was feeling and if she had noticed any physical or mental changes or challenges since our last meeting.
She is a volunteer to one of NPO for suicide prevention. She reported that she became so emotional and broke down at an online meeting this week. We discussed self-care again, it’s essential to establish emotional boundaries to avoid compromising her mental well-being.

Then I led a few minutes of guided meditation to bring her body to relax and her mind to calm.
As for physical movements, we began with gentle neck movement, shoulder stretch, and sun salutation with eyes closed.
To conclude the session, I guided her through 15 minutes of Yoga Nidra and alternate nostril breathing, helping her begin her day with a peaceful mind.

Client/Group progress summary

She described her lifestyle has been changing, instead of going to movies or restaurants, she is spending more time on yoga practice, daily exercise, acupuncture, and other self-care treatments. This indicates her willingness for self-improvement, and she is showing progress especially on emotional level.

Reflection and self-evaluation

.I see Katie twice a week because she is taking my yin yoga class, also she is taking a vinyasa class from my fellow teacher. I saw her asking her vinyasa teacher about the crow pose the other day. She brought this up at today’s session and described her yoga as “I did yoga but never practiced yoga”. And I explained yoga sutra 1.14 again, she agreed on this.
I feel she is practicing well toward her goal on all levels and this plan supports it.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

I will continue my current care plan, I will introduce new practice and wisdom teaching when I find any physical/emotional changes and it is appropriate.
