Scriptural study and devotional practices perhaps including Sikh chants.
Asana and pranayama daily.

Activities

In-depth study of koshas using PP slides (working online). She recognized need for more work with vijnanamaya kosha. I explained how Raja Yoga fits here as well as study of scriptural texts.
Discussed ways she can combine her Christian and Sikh practices more deliberately in a way that works for her as a unique individual.
Asana: Standing, all-fours, and supine focused especially on core strengthening and stretching.
Pranayama: slow, deep breathing

Client/Group progress summary

Client's husband has been out of town for work this week. I noted she seemed visibly "lightly" and less stressed. She completely agreed. She did more walking and stair climbing this week and feels that her body is getting stronger. She has been using the morning "wake-up" prana-enhancing practices discussed last week, and says they help a lot.
She continues to practice brahmari and alternate nostril breathing at least once a day.

Reflection and self-evaluation

This was the first time I used PP slides with the client. This went really well, and she enjoyed learning more details about the koshas. I will only have one more session with this client because she is going to Germany for two weeks beginning 8/21 and I will be out for thyroid surgery after that. Unfortunately, I was not able to tell her that next time will be our last meeting, so that's a major failure on my part. My excuse is that I couldn't find an appropriate time to mention it. It didn't seem to fit anywhere. At the end of the session, she touched into remembering a miscarriage and mentioned the feeling of loss. So I definitely didn't want to aggravate that feeling of loss by telling her she will be losing me as her yoga therapist.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Discuss reasons why yoga therapy needs to end at this point and see how I can help her through this transition.
