| Client/Group progress summary | Jamar - tamasic physically but rajasic mentally - said stress level was 6 out of 10. Said he needed space and didn’t like feeling confined. Engaged with practice. Left halfway through. Mike - his first day. Tamasic in physical and mental energy, but stated he “enjoys yoga.” Engaged with the entire practice. Brandy - very anxious, stated waiting for lithium to kick in. Was in and out of doorway, only stayed about 5 min. Grace - came halfway through. Tamasic, quiet but engaged. Reported feeling “good” at the end. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | It was quite a mix of personalities, and never had a participant quite as anxious and unable to be still as Brandy. She would ask me if it was ok for her to come with the fact that she "needed to keep moving" and "needed to talk" - advised her she could stay for as much or as little of the practice as she liked. With both Brandy and Jamar having rajas, and Mike and Grace advising that they wanted to "stretch", I started with standing practices to get energy moving. Checked in after standing series and invited participants to return to the chair. Asked feedback periodically to make sure that medication effects were not being "overdosed" (especially if they were given sedating medication, which seems to be especially noticeable during a participant's first day on the floor). |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
