Client/Group progress summary

Abram - quiet but engaged, presented more sattvic than in previous sessions. Stayed very engaged in practice, enjoyed Yoga Nidra, Brahmari breath and So Hum mantra meditation the most.

Freddy - quiet but engaged, presented tamasic in energy. Engaged with the practice, not speaking until after Yoga Nidra, asking questions about "so hum." He then stayed for a few minutes after class to ask me more about the Locks and Keys, specifically around "disregard for the wicked". He stated that every yoga therapy session he is seeking to learn more about yoga.

Young female, Caucasian - arrived a few minutes late, rajasic, indicating she "needed to stretch," and asked questions about what she should be feeling in her body throughout the practice. Chatted frequently with younger male participant, encouraged her to focus on her breathing and the sensations she was feeling. She left after seated pigeon.

Young male, Caucasian - was in the small dayroom and decided to stay for practice. Presented tamasic physically, rajasic mentally. At first did not engage with the practice, then joined in. Left shortly after the young female participant.

Reflection and self-evaluation

As clients were mostly tamasic, started with a seated practice to get the moving where they were, then transitioned to gentle standing with support of the chair. Checked in to see how participants were feeling - appropriately challenged/too much/too little? When they indicated "enough" physical fatigue, transitioned to seated practice, offering calming movement and pranayama practices.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
