Client/Group progress summary

The client reported that her flexibility has improved slightly; she does not feel as tight as she was before starting the yoga therapy session. I also noticed that her upper body strength has improved somewhat. However, the client has not noticed any change in her energy level. So far, her test result is normal, but she is still waiting to see her doctor to discuss the rest of her test result (e. g, thyroid and lung).

Reflection and self-evaluation

I read part of an article ‘The quiet power of contentment navigating the path to inner fulfillment beyond the noise of modern life’ (The Quiet Power of Contentment | Psychology Today) to the client at the beginning of the class and gave her a copy of the article. We discussed contentment and how it is important to maintain overall well-being; it is good to set a goal, but it is also important to celebrate a small win. I chose to talk about contentment because the client is anxious to be in better shape sooner than later and sometimes pushing herself beyond her limit. By being content, she will appreciate with where she is right now instead of being stressed about not being where she wants to be.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
