Client/Group progress summary

The client feels better from the last session. She had more energy and went for a walk and being more active. Her dehydration seemed to be better as she did not need to drink as much water as she used to. She only stopped a few times to drink water and went to the bathroom once (instead of 3 times as she did in the previous sessions).

Reflection and self-evaluation

I offered gentle yoga and let the client to hold the pose as long as she needed (she does not like to rush and want to move the body in her own term). We did very brief check in at the beginning and spent more time at the end to discuss home practice and cancellation policy. I suggested that she meditate while she is using the vibrating plate (since she would be lying down anyway); but she refused to commit to that. I asked her to let me know in advance if she is not going to make it to the session (instead of 5 minutes before the appointment). First, she said that she could not do that because she would not know how she would feel ahead of time. But then afterward, she agreed to let me know a few hours before which is better than 5 min before the session. I feel that the client was stressed when we discussed homework and cancellation policy. I tried motivational interview, but I do not think that it went very well because it caused her more stress.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Continue with grounding practice. The session will start with gentle joint movements, standing asanas, supine poses and guided imagery. Bhramari will be introduced in the next session.
