| Homework assignment to client/group | I suggested slowly starting a shower meditation. Washing away her stress and worries and see them go down the drain. She is slowly doing the shower meditation but has a hard time. I suggested getting some body scrub, and as she's scrubbing her body, scrubbing away the old and stress and when she rinses off the scrub, letting go. |
| Activities | Sessions 11 & 12 Client stated her hamstrings were tight. Her shoulders and low back were good. Grounding, stretching, warm up We spoke about Kintsugi - in life we can turn adversity into something that is beautiful and resilient. Try to find the lesson that is being presented to you on your boss. This was added after we spoke about the 4 locks and keys on dealing with her boss. Box breathing. cat/cow, child’s pose, table top. Sun A, a gentle flow. Worked on strength. (strong body, strong mind) Flowed from W1, humble W1, pyramid pose with blocks-adding airplane arms in pyramid pose to continue building strength. Pigeon pose. Seated forward fold Cool down, yoga nidra and relaxation. |
| Client/Group progress summary | Client is a progressing with her strength. Her low back and shoulder pain have seem to subside but does act up every now and then. She states are kids are easier now to put to bed, less crying and clinging. I asked if she's doing anything different she said no but I suggested it was her calm energy she's bringing them. Kids feel and know. When she's calm, they'll tend to be calm. Told her she's worked hard on herself and I noticed she definitely has a calmer energy. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | Continue to let the client lead. Noticed most of the time if I plan something, it never is what is needed during the session. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
