| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |

| Date you started seeing client/group | 09/18/2024 |
| Total hours of all Yoga Therapy sessions with this client/group to date | 300 minutes |
| Adjustments and adaptations you made to your care plan, | At the beginning of the care plan the client was icing his shoulder and this did provide pain relief, later we switched the icing to using a heating pad to warm up his muscles before yoga and he did find this helpful. His range of motion improved significantly. His pain improved and he was able to stop pain meds. |
| Client/Group Goals | His goal was to reduce pain and improve his flexibility of his arm again, this was archived. |
| Report briefly on each Kosha below | Progress toward wellness or worsening reported by the client/group or that you observed in the following areas |
| Physical level | Annamayakosha in my care plan we worked on improving flexibility in his shoulders, spine and hips. We also worked on core strength and his glutes. He was becoming more aware of his body and his overall posture which he found very beneficial. |
| Energetic level | Paranamayakosha we worked on 3 part breathing and improving his energy flow in his body. He noticed that his stress level decreased during work meetings, his sleep improved and his energy improved. He more aware where he hold his tensing and how this potentially interferes with his energy flow. He continues to work on his breathing practices and meditation. He likes working with imagery were her imagines his heart beating and his blood flowing through his body proving oxygen to the cells. |
| Emotional | Manomayakosha, the meditation makes him more aware of his body and thought this awareness he can notice who the body and mind are connected. How his emotions and thoughts are represented in his body. The yoga practice made him more aware of his senses again. He gained insight how he can regulated his stress level during a meeting with breathing practice and he found this to be a powerful tool. His overall stress level dropped and he became more aware of the positive things in live. |
| Intellectual / Sense of self | Vijanamayakosha, he is very curious intellectually and he enjoys reading so we explored the yogic teachings of non attachment and how this can be applied in daily live.To set goal but to not be attached to the outcome. |
| Spiritual orientation and support plan | Anandamayakosha he does enjoy to meditate and to practice withdrawing his sense from the outer world. I believe that this can be very helpful to him also in his work place to not get involved in work drama, to see that he can be uncomfortable in a situation but still ok, the teaching of saucha = clarity and clearness of the mind. We discussed reading Patanjali's yoga sutras. |
| Additional Information | |
| Feedback received from client/group, anecdotal or written | He enjoyed the yoga therapy. He likes that it is a whole system approach and that I worked with his whole body rather than just with his shoulder when he was doing PT. |
| Sample of homework given between sessions (after initial homework) | His home work was to practice 3 part breathing and meditation in the evening as well as shoulder rolls, pendulum swing with his arm while in a forward bend. Also to walk his hands up the wall. |
| Personal reflection from doing client/group. | |
| Rough estimate of time spent in preparation and follow up documentation per session | 360 minutes |
| What you would change with benefit of hindsight | I will do more of my own research up front but still listen to the clients needs and experiences. I do feel it is very important to listen to the client because it is his body and mind and everyone is different with different needs. |
| Questions, problems, areas in which you’d like more support | I did feel supported by my mentor, we were able to discuss the care plan and made the shift from ice to heat after a few sessions. |
| Did you enjoy your service? | Yes I absolutely enjoyed my service. |
