| Session Number | 11 |
| Total Session Minutes | 60 |
| Homework assignment to client/group | Give themselves yoga mini-breaks during their work day, including stretches linked to the breath and pausing to notice. |
| Activities | Center, ground, check-in. Spinal movements, hip circles, seated pigeon, hamstring and quad stretches, joint freeing series for hips and knees. Guided relaxation: three rings of protection, awareness practice, traveling awareness through the body. Extended exhale. Reflection. |
| Client/Group progress summary | Client was recovering from migraine mitigation injections the day before our session. Movements were limited with no touching of the head or face and no neck movements. Five days of relative stillness is the recommended protocol for this therapy. Session movements were focused on the lower body. Session challenged client’s ability to quiet the mind. Relaxation techniques provided a welcome oasis of peace. Rings of protection provide welcome boundaries from incoming negative energies and concerns. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | Broaden range of practices for this client. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | Include bhramari breathing in the next session for relaxation. Discuss gunas and doshas. Offer personalized guided imagery questionnaire. |
