2 Session summary

Check in: Client was achy and feeling under the weather from her covid and flu vaccines. Otherwise, she felt ok.

Philosophy: we spoke about Ahimsa - non harming to self and others. I asked her if she was ok to continue with YT or should we reschedule because she should let her body heal and rest from the vaccines. She wanted to proceed with YT. I explained that Ahimsa means non-violence or non-harming, and it's one of the core principles in yoga. It means being kind and gentle with yourself—listening to your body and respecting its limits. It’s not about pushing yourself into pain or discomfort but rather finding a balance where you feel both safe and challenged. Off the mat, ahimsa can extend into how we interact with others and ourselves. It involves treating people, animals, and the environment with compassion and care, but it also means being mindful of one's thoughts and words.

Client/Group progress summary

Client was obviously achy from the vaccines. We moved slowly with lots of rest.

Reflection and self-evaluation

Wished the client had reached out before the session to let me know she was achy and feel unwell so we could reschedule. However, it was a great segue to speak about ahimas.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session
