| Session Instructions (Not Mentoring) | Your session outline should be a practice adapted to the needs of that client, including:
Tools from each module should be used (not on each client – but overall) |
| Session Date | 09/26/2024 |
| Session Number | 7 |
| Total Session Minutes | 90 |
| Homework assignment to client/group | 1. Three-part breathing or box breathing and meditation daily 15 minutes |
| Activities | The client was diagnosed with lumber stenosis and had laminectomy in July. He has been clear for PT. He meets with his PT once per week and do home PT exercise twice a day. Yogic wisdom: Contentment and surrender – be content where he is and letting go of expectations. |
| Client/Group progress summary | We went over the client’ S PT exercise, which included supine twist, supine knee to chest and push the knees, step up and down, cat-cow, hamstring stretch, and supine lift leg. PT emphasizes isometric exercise to strengthening the core. The client feels stronger and is not as tired as he was a month ago. His mental health has also improved. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | The session focused on improving core strength and stretching the hamstring. Back bending poses were not included to avoid hyper extension of the lower back. I plan to include cobra (to strengthening the upper back) in the next session. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | Plan for the next session is to improve strength and flexibility. Samples asanas include: |
| Report briefly on each Kosha below | Progress toward wellness or worsening reported by the client/group or that you observed in the following areas |
| Additional Information | |
| Personal reflection from doing client/group. | |
