PRANAYAMA - love all that you shared about your breathing, “Manny" and your Sponge analogy. So much insight and opening - I encourage you to journal about it. Keep breathing!
Regarding 3-Part Breath - remember one hand on belly and the other on the heart are to help you connect with the body as you inhale and exhale.

ASANAS - 2 to 3 X per week

GOAL - to develop a regular asana practice to support spinal health, mobility and overall well-being. For your restorative postures, the intention is to cultivate a bodily-felt sense of relaxation and ease and connection with the breath.

Hatha Series w/ breath awareness – Cat/Cow - repeat 3 to 5 times | Child’s Pose for inner awareness and breath connection | Seated Side Twists, Seated Side Stretches, Down Dog to Standing Forward Fold to Mountain …

Yoga Strap and Posture - so great that you found this to be beneficial. I encourage you to practice this 2 - 3x, or more, in the coming week. Walk around the house for 5 or so minutes to develop new muscle memory and reference point for your upper back. You can also try incorporating the shoulder rolls while working with the strap to strengthen those muscles.

Restorative - Supported Bridge / Supported Child’s pose. Photos attached for your reference.
Spinal Alignment & Awareness - from Mountain Pose - with eyes closed or soft gaze - tune in as you ground into the earth - feeling contact with all four corners of your feet - mentally scan from feet to ankles, knees, pelvic area, core engaged, chest, broadening through the shoulders, neck and crown of head. Cultivating proprioception and earth connection.

Client/Group progress summary

Client is making good progress - active and eager to try everything. During prior session we discussed the Koshas, and our multi-dimensional nature. During Pranayama session, she mentioned how during the week she had been connecting with one Kosha daily for a couple of hours - observing her experience. She talked about her awareness around "Manny" her Manomaya Kosha.
She's getting so much from the posture awareness practices.

Reflection and self-evaluation

I'm learning more and more about how to introduce various yogic concepts and teachings, e.g., Gunas. Enjoying how easy it is to apply them to daily life, make them relatable and not some woo-woo, esoteric principles.
Learning I don't have to mix it up or introduce a whole new set of ideas and practices each session. Best to go slow and work on getting traction to see what's working or not. Gratifying to see how she's having fun with all we're working on.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Next week we’ll continue with Asana series with a focus on the upper back and explore one or two balance postures. We’ll continue with Pranayama too.
