| Activities | Check in: Client stated she was feeling good, mentally, spiritually and physically. Her back & shoulders are good. She is a bit sore from running around with her 2 year old yesterday. She is getting on the floor a few times a week to practice & do yoga with her kids. She mentioned wanting a new job due to her boss, and it's now reaching a point where the stress is causing her anxiety. I asked if she's been using the 4 locks and keys, but she finds that challenging as well because her boss is so mean to her. I encouraged her to set a sankalpa for today's practice. As we move through the session, I suggested she focus on her sankalpa. We'll finish with a manifestation meditation, where she can envision her new career path. Activities: Grounding, stretching, warm up Seated Meditation (Sukhasana): lengthen the spine, and focus on your breath. Setting her intention for the practice. Activities: Mountain Pose (Tadasana): Stand tall and grounded. With palms together at your heart center, silently repeating her intention for a few breaths. Feeling the connection between the feet/body to the ground, grounding her sankalpa Sun A Restorative resting pose: Reclined Bound Angle Pose - allowing your body to relax completely. Visualize her intention coming to life. Focus on the feeling of already having manifested your goal—what does it feel like, look like? Manifestation Meditation: In Savasana, a guided manifestation meditation. Imagine your desired outcome clearly, feel and vizualize as though it is already yours. |
| Client/Group progress summary | While she had heard of manifestation, she had never practiced it herself. The client was enthusiastic and receptive. Toward the end of the meditation, she became a bit restless, and I can tell her focus began to fade because she became fidgety. Likely due to her natural tendency toward anxiety. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | I felt really good of the practice I delivered today! I was able to create a sequence of poses (off the cuff) and explain the significance of them in a way that I hope made her feel empowered and connected to her goal. I hope it made a positive impact on her. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
