The outline should show the sequence of practices as you plan to offer them. Your care plan proposal should be approved by the mentor before session 2 if possible, or 3 if approval is delayed by mentor.

Journaling:
EXPERIENCING KRIYA YOGA IN EVERYDAY LIFE
“Observe the different aspects of Kriya Yoga and how you’ve practiced them throughout the day. Create a practice for each of the three aspects of Kriya Yoga that is meaningful to you. Change or alter the practices as you choose. What would your practice of Karma Yoga (Selfless Service) and Tapas (igniting the purifying flame) be like? What would your practice of Jnana Yoga (intuitive wisdom) and Swadhaya (sacred study of the Divine) be like?
What would your practice of Bhakti Yoga (devotion) and Iswara Pranidhana (wholehearted dedication to the Divine Light in all) be like? Allow all three to dance together in your life, bringing you to wholeness.”
Devi, Nischala Joy. The Secret Power of Yoga: A Woman's Guide to the Heart and Spirit of the Yoga Sutras (p. 116).
2. Practice Sun salutation on the floor and 15 minutes of Yoga Nidra- “I am meditation” for health and healing (Yoga Nidra meditations, Julie Lusk, chapter 5)
3. Read your Guru’s lessons before sleep.
4. Practice 3 part breath. Use this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OI055S7g7Xs
5. Practice the bioenergetic exercise for grounding.
6. Walk every other day for 30 minutes (if that is ok for you) in beautiful surroundings.
7. And have fun!

Client/Group progress summary
Saturday, she woke up early and was very energized. She practiced hatha yoga, yoga nidra, and meditation the whole morning. She wrote the affirmations she heard on the Yoga Nidra audio (Julie Lusk’s) and plans to hang them on her walls. She said, “I feel transformation.”
We met two days ago and she did all the practices, including journaling.
We talked about the Kriya Yoga of Patanjali (tapas, swadhyaya and swara pranidana).
She is taking organic protein powder to gain muscle.
The pain (level 2) returns not strong, for a short period, and then it’s gone. She doesn’t have to stop her activities. And this is tapas.
When we were practicing Sun Salutations on the floor, I told her to engage her legs and arms like they were pressing against the floor. I asked if she wanted to try a low lunge (equestrian pose or ashwa sanchalanasana), and she agreed and loved practicing that.
She is practicing by herself Sun salutes, supta padangustasana and viparita, yoga nidra, and journaling.
At the end of the session, she picked a card from the “she rises” deck (Anodea Judith), which works with the feminine archetypes. She was amazed to pick up the “peacemaker” card. She said in her family she was always the one who avoided conflicts between siblings. This can be a heavy burden to carry, a big responsibility for a child. She will journal about that (swadhyaya) and we can talk next time.
We discussed the festival of the goddess (Navaratri) that will begin on October 3rd in India, and the importance of the divine feminine. We also talked about the Gayatri mantra, which is related to the goddess Gayatri and the Kriya yoga of Patanjali.
Reflection and self-evaluation
I am so glad with JD’s improvement! Although I had the plan, I felt there was an opportunity to try the equestrian pose. And I remembered the cards could help her explore some of her archetypes in her Self-study.
Final Client/Group Report
After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session
Celebrate the divine feminine - Navaratri - and feel the empowerment of the goddess archetype, and the gunas which they represent.
