| Client/Group progress summary | The clients have better balance (observations during asana practice --tree pose and tandem standing) than during the previous sessions. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | We discussed Niyamas at the beginning of the class. Like the previous session, I tied the teaching with asana practices when it was applicable. Santosha and Svadhyaya were related to asana practice – contentment with what each person can do and observe the physical body and the breath while in the pose. Tapas can be related to self-discipline – cultivate good habits (e.g., home practice) and eliminate unhealthy habits. I tied Saucha with clarity of the mind and clean diet. Isvara Pranidhana is to let go of things that we cannot have control and connection with our highest self. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | I will continue to include poses that improve flexibility, strength, and balance. I will discuss Pratyahara in the next class. |
