Tools from each module should be used (not on each client – but overall) |
| Session Date | 09/29/2024 |
| Session Number | 2 |
| Total Session Minutes | 75 |
| Homework assignment to client/group | Daily practice: Three-part breathing followed by alternate nostril breathing 5 minutes followed by 5 minutes of gratitude meditation. Incorporate breathing throughout the day Three rounds of sun salutation, movement with breath and 2 minutes of yoga nidra. |
| Activities | The client was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma and completed six rounds of chemotherapy in July. His goal is to use yoga to support his health, mind, and body connection. He is active (exercise at the gym regularly). Based on my observations during the first session, the client does not have physical limitations and have good energy level. The physical practice was done on a mat. • Check in – Yogic wisdom – Santosha and Isvara pranidhana |
| Client/Group progress summary | The client has recovered from Covid-19 and seems to be doing well. His energy level is good. He has kept up with breathing practice and meditation and finds that breathing has been helpful, especially for recovering from covid-19. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | I planned to teach kapalabhati. However, since the client recently recovered from covid-19, I decided to wait until the next session. Because the client does not have physical limitations and appears to be in good health post-chemotherapy, asana practice focuses on incorporating movement with the breath and being in tune with the body and breath. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | The next session will focus on subtle practice, i.e., breathing and meditation. The client’s goal is to support the mind and body connection, restorative yoga and guided imagery would be beneficial. |
| Report briefly on each Kosha below | Progress toward wellness or worsening reported by the client/group or that you observed in the following areas |
| Additional Information | |
| Personal reflection from doing client/group. | |
