Your care plan should be approved by your mentor, with any amendments they suggested, prior to your remaining Yoga Therapy sessions.
Care PlanOutline should be a practice adapted to the needs of that client/group, including:
  • Check in, centering, balanced hatha yoga set considering contraindications, relaxation (with imagery as appropriate),
  • balanced pranayama considering contraindications, meditation/centering.
  • Please include at least one suggestion from Karma, Bhakti, Raja, or Jnana Yoga tailored for this client/group.
  • Over time, we want to see something from each branch, selected, adapted and re-framed appropriately. Tools from each module should be used (not on each client/group – but overall)
The outline should show the sequence of practices as you plan to offer them.

Noticing the shared energy throughout the day, and the a few morning asanas daily connected to breath

Activities

Centering with connection of breath, mind, body, the energy of each other and of the space we are in.

Asanas- gentle warming neck shoulders and seated cat cow, legs long knees, ankles
pelvic tilts supported bridge, supported open hip then twist. hip rotations in between, 3 forward folds on bolsters legs long, butterfly then wide. Childs pose, then legs on elevated on bolster for savasana, and yoga nidra.

Pranayama- Extended exhalation during class, Then Square breath even 4 parts in and out the nose.

Meditation- We are in a shared energy source wherever we are, and having awakens to the positive energy we can bring within and attach a sensation and color to this peaceful energy.

Philosophy- Pranayama, using the energy of the flow of breath as a tool for stress/anxiety within our daily lives.
This controlled breath, our respiratory system is connected to our nervous system and metabolic functions which can influence mood, health and awareness.

each week i ask if there are any changes and typically not much, but this week they has some pain in the rib cage, and lower back, and stress levels.
it is so important to be able to target them individually while in a group

Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
