| Activities | Check in: Client was feeling good except her wrist was acting up. Her wrists hurt when in too much extension. Her wrists are undiagnosed. I asked if it was her carpal tunnel but she said she doesn't think so. It just happens every now and then. I suggested she see her doctor to find out the root issue of her wrists so she can make sure it's not her carpal tunnel or she's might be further harming her wrists. Philosophy: we continued with Ahimsa - was she able to take it easier last week not to harm her body from the vaccines - listening to her body and respecting its limits. I further elaborated on ahimsa on how our bodies communicate with us when something feels off or when we're in pain. In those moments, it's important to practice non-harm by honoring what our bodies need—whether that means taking time to rest or seeking medical attention when the issue goes beyond what rest can resolve. Breath work: diaphragmatic breathing Warm up: shoulder rolls, neck turns. side bends, cactus arms. forward bend, side bend Continued from last week Table top: Childs pose, puppy pose, Childs pose. Mountain pose, 1/2 sun A with flat back Supine, knees to chest, windshield wiper legs, supine pigeon, knees into chest, wind relief, supported bridge pose with foam block, supported fish pose with blocks Restorative yoga nidra pose with bolster, tense and release, yoga nidra |
| Client/Group progress summary | Client's energy was back to normal but her wrists were sore. She was able to do all the movements but we did not put pressure on the wrists. No wrist extensions, no table top, plank etc. this week. She is present and focused. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | I encouraged client to seek medical attention on her wrists. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
