Physical

Group with physical complaints of muscle tightness particularly in around the shoulders and neck areas. Insomnia.

Energetic

All members with an anxious energy today, but they report feeling burnt out and tired during the day; difficulty getting out of bed after sleep.

Emotional

All members endorse anxiety and fear as common emotions. Giovanni with angry outbursts at times. Has broken property in the home.

Spiritual orientation and needs

Family's spiritual orientation by heritage is Catholic; they come from Guadalajara Mexico. Mother has practice of reading the Lord's prayer before bed and reading the Bible when in need of spiritual assistance. They do not attend church regularly, outside of holidays. Giovanni has read about Buddhism and has a meditation practice he does on his own.

Intellectual / Sense of self

Sara, mom, and younger sister all read the Bible when looking for spiritual guidance. Giovanni has a meditation practice which helps him connect to his higher self/inner wisdom.

Sutra 1.33: Using the information the client's provide, plan is to infuse ideas which come from the Four Locks and the Four Keys. It may be that the clients are able to hear and take in the sutra in its full form, but in the least will try to use concepts from this sutra during the group sessions.

  • Over time, we want to see something from each branch, selected, adapted and re-framed appropriately. Tools from each module should be used (not on each client/group – but overall)

Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
