Please include at least one suggestion from Karma, Bhakti, Raja, or Jnana Yoga tailored for this client/group.
Over time, we want to see something from each branch, selected, adapted and re-framed appropriately. Tools from each module should be used (not on each client/group – but overall)
The outline should show the sequence of practices as you plan to offer them. Your care plan proposal should be approved by the mentor before session 2 if possible, or 3 if approval is delayed by mentor.

Homework assignment to client/group
1. clients to practice four locks and four keys as they navigate through their lives this week.
2. continue diaphragmatic breathing and heel breathing before dinner; continue to do breath practices before bed.
3. do mantra repetition during the day (inaudibly around others).
4. each client to bring in a favorite food that they enjoy (small amount) for the next session.
Activities
1. welcomed group and started with diaphragmatic breathing and I played sound bowls (C note and F note).
2. clients each was given the opportunity to share anything he/she wanted for unspecified period, and then to pass the teddy bear to the member next to them. There were examples of difficult interpersonal experiences that were brought up. Clients also shared their use of the practices and their homework; all members thought the breath practices were helpful to increase calmness.
3. taught briefly about four locks and four keys and explained it like an email, in which dismissing the wicked was like a spam folder that never interacts with the usual mail and can be noticed but not considered as important. Spoke of the other groups being put into different inbox folders in the mind. Even our youngest group member expressed understanding of this concept. Discussed that each experience with individuals can be seen in this way, in order to help cope with difficulties.
4. Each person was asked to give an experience to the group that had been upsetting them, and we worked together to classify each experience in terms of the four locks and four keys. Answered questions about this exercise.
5. took brief break.
6. regrouped and shared each person's calming mantra; this mantra was one word for Marta (Fe or faith in Spanish). Each person shared why the mantra was important and agreed to try to use this mantra daily.
7. ended the group with diaphragmatic breathing, and sound bowl (432 Hz)resonance.
Client/Group progress summary
The group is bonding around these principles and mother seems to be benefiting; it is clear that the mother plays a primary role in her children's buy-in into the group, so was cautious to address any questions or concerns she had. All group members reported having an increase in calmness in their home. This past week Sara attended school for about 4/5 days and mom called out sick once. Insomnia improving.
Reflection and self-evaluation
This group makes me feel calm when I participate. I enjoy it and the youngest member, despite my concerns about not being able to withstand such a long group, has been doing well. She clearly takes cues from her mom.
I had planned to do a different exercise in this group, however the group themselves were substantially affected by a number of interpersonal relationships, so teaching the 4 locks and 4 Keys seemed most appropriate. Will attempt to do the crystal practice at another time.
Final Client/Group Report
After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session
1. Will plan to discuss diet and how food affects our lives.
2. Will plan to do conscious tasting practice.
3. It is hoped that the clients will lessen anxiety as they practice conscious eating and hopefully are able to decrease the use of negative substances in the food.
