| Homework assignment to client/group | 1. continue with assigned practices; work on finding healing spaces in the home and also identifying healing spaces in each client's life. |
| Activities | 1. opening sequence with breathing and sound healing bowls. Brief break Returned and clients displayed their meaningful objects. Discussed the objects' meanings to each individual. Discussed the importance of healing spaces and staff helped to make a small table in the corner of the room where objects were placed. Discussed clients' ideas about what healing spaces looked like; some chose the ocean, other mountains. Talked about home environment and if it is considered a healing space. If not, what could change to make it more healing? Ideas were talked about. Mother actively participated in this. Ended session with a yoga nidra practice on the floor. Clients left with gratitude. |
| Client/Group progress summary | Mother and Sara continue to attend work and school more than they did in the past. Sense of safety is being made as we meet more often and now, clients' home is extended to the meeting space of the group--both proverbially and with objects. Progressing well. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | I myself wish I could put an object on the table, but since I work remotely that is not possible. Still, however, I feel as if the family has incorporated/adopted me into their group. This feels like a relief as I was concerned about not being able fully connect with a group that had already been formed. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | 1. do conscious listening practice. |
