| Homework assignment to client/group | 1. client to continue to use guided meditation that she constructed during the day to help with relaxation. |
| Activities | 1. reviewed guided meditation practice and client states she liked it; felt a bit calmer with it but did not feel it was very helpful for sleep. Helped her relax but falling asleep was still difficult. She has been using the recording even at times when she does not want to sleep, but wants to feel relaxed. 2. taught body scan practice. Client commented that she likes this practice; she kept her eyes open during it. She was open to doing an entire yoga nidra practice, so while client was lying on the floor, use stress management manual inspired yoga nidra script. Client was very calm and still during this practice; she kept her eyes open and reported afterwards that she felt very relaxed. I re-did the script allowing her to audio record my voice and she took this home. |
| Client/Group progress summary | client continues to be anxious though seemed more comfortable today in the session. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | I usually start with a breathing practice, but this client has taken more to the guided meditation; I was surprised how much she liked the body scan and had not planned to do yoga nidra, but it helped. Will continue to observe how things unfold. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | 1. review yoga nidra and other guided meditation. |
