| Session Number | 3 |
| Total Session Minutes | 90 |
| Homework assignment to client/group | We agreed that he would continue to practice sitting still for a few minutes a few times a day, the box breathing, and some form of physical asana, even if only for a few minutes at least once a day. |
| Activities | Today we introduced and discussed the gunas and did a guna check in, followed by toe and foot movements and then grounding, nadi shodhana, dirgha pranayama, and introduced box breathing. We then went into a classic rishikesh series, with sun salutations, cobra, locust, paschimottanasana, wide legged forward fold, crow, and then child's pose and a reclined twist. |
| Client/Group progress summary | Client really enjoyed the rishikesh series and the more challenging movements like locust and crow. Based on his self-report, he is improving every day. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | I am grateful that there are so many practices in yoga as I do feel a desire to continually introduce new practices to my clients. Not sure if this is a good, bad, or neutral thing. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | Next session I plan to elaborate on the rishikesh series, with the possible introduction of kapalabhati and continue to add more advanced asana options, like sirshansana and/or sarvangasana. |
| Report briefly on each Kosha below | Progress toward wellness or worsening reported by the client/group or that you observed in the following areas |
| Additional Information | |
| Personal reflection from doing client/group. | |
| Notify Mentor? | Do not notify Mentor (choose if you wish to continue working on this entry later) |
