Homework assignment to client/group

He has not been tracking his daily sadhana, so I have given him a copy of an integral-yoga based sadhana tracker template to help him track his practices.

Activities

Today we did a kosha check in, followed by our rishikesh series yoga practice, with leg lifts and slow, grounding sun salutations to warm up, and then cobra, bow, baddha konasana, shoulderstand, balasana, and then half lord of the fishe's twist. Afterwards, we did our pranayama - kapalabhati with breath retentions, nadi shodhana and box breathing - and then did yoga nidra and meditation.

Client/Group progress summary

He seems to be doing well, and is continuously interested in more and more yoga. He unfortunately will be moving away in May so we may have to cease working together.

Reflection and self-evaluation

Today was a challenge as teaching yoga nidra to a deaf person is very different than a hearing person. Nonetheless, I feel I did a decent job at adapting the practices.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Next session, if we are able to meet one more time, will be a great opportunity to teach headstand!
