CLOSING

Client/Group progress summary

At the beginning of the session, we did Jala Neti together to improve his breathing. He has a deviated septum (I knew it last session) and this kriya can open more space in his airways.
I left my Neti pot with him in case he wanted to continue doing this practice.
The client is practicing the Web-claw-beak-paw exercise, but not the other suggestions. He is not sleeping well and seems depressed. He reported that his girlfriend died 50 years ago and got emotional. I suggested therapy and he said he did already. He doesn’t seem to be willing to improve, and his wife told me they have been married for 10 years and she sometimes thinks about terminating the relationship because “he never changes”.

Reflection and self-evaluation

It’s a very sad situation, but “You Can Lead a Horse To Water, But You Can’t Make It Drink”!
I revisited Ahimsa hoping he understands that clinging to the past is violence to ourselves. We are stopping ourselves from going forward with our lives.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
