Tools from each module should be used (not on each client – but overall) |
| Session Date | 05/21/2024 |
| Session Number | 3 |
| Total Session Minutes | 90 |
| Homework assignment to client/group | This client's homework is to continue to sit in silence with no technology for at least a few minutes before bed and observe how the mind feels when he does so. He also is to continue with his pranayama practice, for at least a few minutes 2-3 times a day, with the continuation of kapalabhati if he feels himself grieving and low energy and feels that he doesn't need to rest, as that has been working for him. |
| Activities | Guna check in , 4 locks and keys and pratipaksha bhavana wisdom teaching, tabletop warm up, sun salutations, Sphinx, bow, locust, wide legged seated water flow, utkatasana, shoulderstand, plough, reclined pigeon, reclined twist. Pranayama practice included Nadi Shodhana, dirgha pranayama, and the "ha" breathing variation of kapalabhati. We did yoga nidra with the divine light invocation, silent meditation, and then closed with a brief chant. |
| Client/Group progress summary | This client is really making progress now, he has been continuing his morning pranayama practice before work and has added a brief yoga nidra after the pranayama. |
| Reflection and self-evaluation | We are still struggling with being long-winded during the check-in and wisdom teaching portion of class, but I am getting better at remaining within my scope of practice and not talking too much about his personal problems. |
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake) Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
| Plan for next session | Next session will be similar, though we will go through a chair yoga asana practice as he can have some postures to use at work in his work chair. |
| Report briefly on each Kosha below | Progress toward wellness or worsening reported by the client/group or that you observed in the following areas |
| Additional Information | |
| Personal reflection from doing client/group. | |
| Notify Mentor? | Do not notify Mentor (choose if you wish to continue working on this entry later) |
