Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.

Adjustments and adaptations you made to your care plan,

The goals didn’t change.

Client/Group Goals

The group goals were: to relieve anxiety, calm the mind, and be able to think clearly. To some degree and for most of them, the goals were reached.

Report briefly on each Kosha belowProgress toward wellness or worsening reported by the client/group or that you observed in the following areas
Physical level

They practiced all the asanas, except for the pregnant client. Cin (pregnant) didn’t do the twists, forward bends, or any asana that pressed her belly or made her feel uncomfortable. The asana practice served to release tension in the body, which helped with anxiety.

Energetic level

Cin has very low energy because of pregnancy. The others have a moderate to high level of energy. They all could balance their level of energy during the sessions.

Emotional

They all had some emotional challenges, but at the last session they all reported being more emotionally balanced.

Intellectual / Sense of self

The exercises of introspection helped them somewhat.

Spiritual orientation and support plan

Observe breath and sensations in the body.
Observe negative thoughts related to yourself and others
Journaling.
Take the daily D.O.S.E.This a meditation with affirmation, which helps to take the attention to the breath and away from the negative thoughts of fear or frustration. DOSE is an acronym where D is dopamine, O is oxytocin, S is serotonin and E is endorphin. They are called joy hormones. And how are they released? Yoga can help release these hormones because it has 3 important requirements for this to happen: 1. Focus, concentration 2. Control of vital energy through breathing 3. Pratipaksha Bhavana These 3 are DOSE ingredients, a recipe to activate the parasympathetic system, making them calmer and more balanced.
Practice the 12-minute deep relaxation recording before sleeping every night.
Practice the mantra “asatoma sadgamaya” when needed, to reset the mind. I chose this mantra because they can relate to it.
Practice Kirtan Kriya.

What you would change with benefit of hindsight

I would have taken more notes.

Questions, problems, areas in which you’d like more support

More support in informed trauma material.
It was my first group, and I could see I didn’t take many notes, and I didn’t know how to coordinate at the same time the group and observe them.
Online limitations to observe the clients.

Did you enjoy your service?

Oh yes, I loved it.
